The ZixPort password rules implement balance between requirements for trusted authentication and ease of use. Typically as password rules are strengthened, the number of calls to an organization’s support desk also increase.
The default minimum password length is six characters. Additionally, you can require users to add one or more of the following constraints to their chosen password:
| • | Contain both alphabetic and numeric characters |
| • | Contain both uppercase and lowercase characters |
| • | Contain at least one special character, such as: ~!@#$%^& |
